I think you have way to many, you have no one else contributing yet, you are sysop focused, drop down to 4, make them more specific ...

I recently found that I had to compact several areas into one more encompassing ones.
I had too many that weren't being used. I would so a monthly post from
a timed script
to identify the area, but sometimes that was the only post.

After having so many networks on my board, I sometimes wonder if the phrase "less is more" is appropriate here. With so many networks, many covering the same topics, as a collective group of sysops we could basically funnel everyone into just 1 or 2 networks that are highly popular and be done with the rest. Do we need an entire network based
with a dozen separate groups when one retro group will do?
Do we need a network with 20 groups for different languages when a single programming area would do?
I can understand when there were thousands of bulletin boards and maybe 100's of thousands of callers, but times have changed and sometimes we have to give up on networks and try to direct everyone to a busy place.
Imagine having a village with 100 people and 50 pubs, and 2 people only went to each pub. They're not going to last long, but if you had 2 pubs with 25 people in each, then you've got a party :)
i agree in part, but i want to look at the glass half full. back in the day it
was easy to get callers. i think as a collective, sysops need to look at other
avenues to explore that would bring new users online that have no clue about bbsing. there's too much doom scrolling, no brain activity, and we have to figure our bbses in front of them

I made a video that explains how to use Winserver. I was able to get a few new users
as a result.

Too many just want to play video game and get high. It's time this new generation learns something from the old school days. I got a kid that lives in the apartment above me that all he wants to do is play video games and get high. He is lazy and so is his girlfriend. They don't know what it is to actually work for a living they just set in the house all day and do nothing.
Back in the day when I was in my 20's I had to work and I worked two
jobs and did that seven days a week. I also had to take care of my pets
at home (Birds & Fish) plus do things around the house inside and
outside. Today it's all about the video games and cell phones. I'm so happy that when I was at that age I was out doing things instead of setting in the house all the time.
doom scrolling and video games is what most of this generation focuses on. chores? whats that? tech like cell phones has "dumb-downed" society!

Yes these people now are really dumb and will be worthless for sure
thats we do our part and get them in using their brains on a BBS!
