Robot vacuums manufactured by Ecovacs have gone rogue, with
some customers reporting the tiny tech tools chased them
around their homes and barraged them with profanities after
being hacked.
Minnesota lawyer Daniel Swenson is one of those people. He
told Australia Broadcast Network about an experience in
May with his Deebot X2. the uniquely problematic model
from the Chinese manufacturer.
“It sounded like a broken-up radio signal or something,”
he told the outlet. “You could hear snippets of maybe a voice.”

Ok ... hilarious - but also a stark warning for the
near future.
Just as easy for the next 'update' to have the things
park by yer curtains and overload the battery at 3AM.
"AI" isn't even necessary to turn lots of our gadgets
into disruptive or lethal agents - 'cruise missiles'
of a sort working for Xi or Vlad or Kim or just some
little maniac in Mom's basement.
