I just upgraded to win2000 professional from win98. In win98 I was
able to shut down the computer in standby mode, but in 2000 it seems
as though standby is not supported.
I went to the Power Options control panel and looked through all of
the tabs, saw somethign about "hibernation" mode, but nothing about
standby. As far as I can tell, win2000 thinks that my computer doesn't
support standby, but of course it does.
Does anyone know if I'm supposed to activate some other setting first?
Thanks,
J. Wermont
