    Hello,
I am running Win Me, and I would like to backup my entire hard drive
onto an external hard drive, connected to my computer with USB 2.0. I
have seen pros/cons of some of the imaging programs, such as Ghost,
True Image, Back Up My PC, Drive Image, etc.

Can someone please give me their opinion as to which program would
work best for me? This is for my personal use only-- I don't need to
copy 1 drive to multiple drives. This is just for insurance for when
    the main HD fails.

    Thanks in advance,
    -cbarry

i've used both ghost and drive image
and had no problems with either...
although the terminology "ghost" uses is a bit arcane

the nice thing about "ghost" is that you may actually extract individual
    files from the image...
    a pretty nice feature
