• Time problems with Win2k and NTFS

    Hi,

I just tested this with Windows 2000 Professional and NTFS file system:

    1. I set the Windows clock to time 2001-10-27 10:00 AM (summer time, GMT
    +3).
    2. I created a new text file at 2001-10-27 10:04:59 AM.
    3. I set clock to 2001-10-28 10:06 AM (winter time, GMT +2).
    4. I noticed that the file was created at 2001-10-27 09:04:59 AM.

Why is that? I know Windows 2000 uses UTC instead of local time but this doesn't make a sense at all.

Does this mean that if I now (2003-07-13 01:52, summer time) save a file
and check out the last modified time in December, the time will be
    2003-07-13 00:52?

    Mika

I'm still looking for help. Can you help me with this?

The same problem is with Win XP + NTFS.
