• Did the Apple IIe Platinum come with a IIgs power supply case?

I push my 1983 style IIe fairly hard with a lot of cards installed and a Fastchip. I had a newer power supply start to lose voltage and I replaced it with a new one from Reactive. But I got to thinking that maybe adding cooling to the PSU case would be a fun little project. So I took a IIgs PSU case (with all its vent holes) and put a new PSU in it with the appropriate IIe wiring. Added a small 5v fan to the side of the IIgs PSU case. It's quiet and definitely makes a "to the touch" difference in temperature of the metal PSU case. Added a Kensington cooler to pull air out of the side IIe and as a whole, everything's pretty tame inside the IIe even with the cover on and the CRT monitor on top. So that was fun and apparently effective.
But then I wondered: was my idea so original? At the time of the IIe Platinum release, the IIgs had been in production for a couple of years. Did Apple continue the solid box PSU case in the Platinum, or did they use the IIgs PSU case that was already in production?
IIe Platinums are kinda expensive on ebay, so I don't have one. I was wondering if anyone here knows about later IIe PSU cases.
    Thank you!

There were some that had the IIgs type power supply but most didn't. Later production units?
