• GSport (off topic?)

This belongs in a raspberrypi group but I think it is only of interest to appleII users. Sorry.
I would like to install gsport on a rpi running "buster". Most instructions I can find relate to "wheezy". I have tried a2server and a2cloud but they don't install on "buster". Currently I can't find the source for gsport although I am sure it exists (github?). Have the scripts from ivanx or dschmenk been upgraded to work with systemd instead of initd? Where can I find them?
I know that gsport works on "buster". I have a rpi running gsport under "buster" that I upgraded from wheezy, jessie, stretch and then buster. GSport works fine including ethernet emulation. I just can't find an install to a fresh install of current "buster".

I get the feeling some of the stuff in Debian still relies on sysvinit scripts, even if the main OS has moved to systemd.

I'm using bullseye (Debian 11 RC) on my main PC, having used buster for
    years before that.

wheezy is Debian 7. That would suggest these are very old scripts.

I suppose I could try to kitbash something when I have the time and motivation, but honestly, I've just been using MAME. (Oy. Don't try
rolling modern MAME with less than 8 GB RAM, and if that's all you got,
you're in for a bad time.)

GSport has nothing to do with systemd or initd. To install GSport, you can build from source: https://github.com/david-schmidt/gsport/releases and run copy the files to where you want to run them. GS+ is an update that uses SDL and may be easier to build: https://github.com/digarok/gsplus
If you want the latest buster based AppleIIPi SD image (doesn't include IvanX's a2server builds) you can download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EG7WePgh-0RVCgueAsOMDnWoOjISM22s/view?usp=sharing
Note that this is for use with an AppleIIPi card, so it will try to mount drives from the Apple II at boot time. You can disable that feature if you edit the .bash_login file.
