    Hi:

I purchased my ibook about a year ago and about 5 months ago I installed
Jaguar. Since then it really seems to be taking a lot longer to boot
up and shut down. I haven't really changed anything else. I have the
same programs I had on before. I really don't use this computer that
often and I've cleared the cache. Any way I can get Jaguar to get up to speed?

My friend recently got an ibook with a native Jaguar install and it
boots faster than my ibook ever did (before Jaguar).

    Thanks for any help.

The "apple2" in "comp.sys.apple2" refers to systems like the Apple
II, the Apple II+, the Apple IIe, the Apple //c and the Apple IIgs.
You'll have much better luck looking for help in Mac groups.
