    Clip-on? Don't know about that but I just bought some batteries
    with axial leads from www.mouser.com that I'm using to replace the
    batteries in five ROM 01 systems. Soldering required.

    Yeah, there's a clip-on sold. Just attach it over the leads of the dead battery.
