Best to get and read Rubywand's FAQs first. Accelerators and more are
    covered there.

Transwarp and Zip are most common, both are good, but hard to find ($$).

I just bought a IIgs and I want to add an accelerator (2.8 MHz seems a tad slow). I know there are several out there, such as the Transwarp GS.

Any recommendations? Any horror stories of things to avoid?

I know where I can get either one, but I don't know which is better. The TranswarpGS looks over-complicated with lots of DIP switches, a
    daughterboard, etc.

The Zip looks like a much simpler design, but I have no idea how well either works.

    Hi Mike,

both the TWGS and ZipGS are great. They're real power leaches (particularly
the TWGS) so can effect stability on a loaded system. An intermittant ribbon cable between the accelerator and and CPU socket can drive drive you mad so
you may want to get a new one if you're having problems.
