    I believe it's a Macintosh siII computer. It has just a floppy disk drive.
    It boots just fine, but it has very little memory about 2300 k. It has no useful application for me;
    My guess it that the Mac is about the year 1995/94;
    it has a phone jack but I don't know if it has a modem, could I put
    internet on it are they designed for it.
    I am a windows user that's why I am clueless, I know I can't open it to fix anything because Mac aren't designed that way.
    I could find a place to set up my tcp ip setting for a dial up beside it doesn't have a browser.
    I am beginning to think that was just used as a school computer for work processing; I pretty sure I can do more than word.
    Oh here is another one how do I remove stuff that I don't want to free up
    more space.
    the only self back is that I have to do everything through the diskette.
    I where do I download warez for that model with one of the oldest OS.

    thanks for any help

    steve.

    First, you're in the wrong newsgroup. This one is for the Apple II
    series which predated the Macintosh. Look for a comp.sys.mac.* newsgroup.

    Second, if it is a Macintosh IIsi it should have an internal hard drive.
    The IIsi is fairly old, it was made from 1990 to 1993. You can find more
    about it at the following links:

    To create a new standard it takes something that's not just a little
    bit different. It takes something that's really new and really captures people's imagination. And the Macintosh, of all the machines I've ever
    seen, is the only one that meets that standard.

    OK, I couldn't help but emphasize this line....
    I am a windows user that's why I am clueless,
    :-)

    Anyway, as has been said, you'll have better luck in a Mac newsgroup.

    Also, I'd recommend www.lowendmac.com as a great info site...

    My guess, if you're saying it wasn't designed to be opened, it's an
    all-in-one Mac (monitor built in)??? If so, it's not a IIsi..

    The "phone" connector, if it's internal is prabably a modem. I'm not aware (???) of any phonenet cards far Macs, and an Ethernet card uses an RJ45 connection. (Larger than a phone connection)

    As for the Internet, lowendmac.com has old versions of Netscape that might
    run.

    I have an ethernet card in my IIsi and it browses the web..

    When I can get my //e to join it, I'll be happy.. :-)

    www.lowendmac.com is a much better resource than I am.. (Course, I'm mostly
    a Windows user now.. hmm :-)

    Good luck

    Desi
