    I had this 19 pin adapter that I wanted to check so I grabbed a Disk II and a disk controller. When I turned on the computer nothing happened. While disconnecting the adapter from the card I noticed that I'd connected the 5.25" drive to a Liron card instead. I was surprised to find that it still worked with a 3.5" Unidisk. I thought I would have fried the card

    That was lucky! Liron cards are not cheap.
