    Is it possible to power a C64C REV-E board with a SINGLE 9v
    power-source?

    Yes, but it's not as easy as you may think. 9V AC or DC?

    The 64 needs 9V AC and 5V DC.

    A resistor as part of a voltage divider would work only if the load
    resistance was constant. With a complex electronic ciruit as the load,
    it almost never is. Use a voltage regulator like the 7805 to drop, say,
    9V DC to 5V DC.
