    Hello,

Someone wrote to ask me why "Mystic Castle" crashes
under VICE (or other Commodore 64 emulators). The problem
arises when "True Drive Emulation" is not selected.

In order for the game to work under VICE (or other emulators),
"True Drive Emulation" must be turned ON.

Also, if there is not enough space on the disk image
to save your game file, please scratch the file "backup"
at the end of the directory. This should free up around
60 blocks free for the disk. Make sure to issue
a VALIDATE/COLLECT command after scratching the file!

    To VALIDATE/COLLECT, type:

    OPEN 15,8,15,"V":CLOSE 15
    (for the Commodore 64)

    or

    COLLECT
    (for the Commodore 128)

I also uploaded a slightly modified disk image of "Mystic Castle"
whereby 60 blocks remain free on the disk image. You can grab it here:

    http://www.geocities.com/dunric/c16.html

I will upload this disk image shortly to the IF-archive as well.

    Enjoy! :)

    Sincerely,

    Paul Panks [a/k/a "Dunric"]

If it's a game for C64 why loading address is $1c01 instead of $0801?
    ;-)

I believe the loading address is $1c01 because the game was written in
C128 mode (to take advantage of longer program lines in BASIC, which the
C64 accepts but cannot fully edit).

:) I knew already the answer, only wanted to know why didn't you
load&save in C64 mode the program before releasing it. Take this just as
    a hint.
