• Magazine type-in program archives ?

    Hello.
I used to remember spending hours and hours typing in those magazine programs, and even more hours looking for all the typos I made, and then playing it and feeling GREAT.
Magazines that come to mind were Compute, Computes Gazzette, Ahoy, RUN, and Family Computing.
Are there any .d64 archives were I can download my favorite games once again? I've googled, but I only see indexes. Help ?

    Thanks!!!
    Peter

I would check to see if there is still a User's group or maybe even an active BB's
in your area. Post a message here as to where you live , and who knows.... there
might be a guy in your home town that has all the issue's and you could photo-stat
the programs.... and once again sit for hours tying them in !!! ( like I used to
do too....your not alone LOL )

You might check Ebay too..... thats where I ended up selling off my "library"...... I doubt that anyone would take the time to archive a "type-in" program and put it on the web..... but ya never know.... keep looking

This was discussed and supposedly an archive of type in programs was going to happen. You can look for an old thread "Subject: Old Commodore - Listing - Magazines" on Google Groups. If the archive came about, I'd all like to now where it is ?!?!
