Brian...... I am on the floor.... under my desk...... laff'in my ash off .......by your perfect metaphor...
15 years of running a BB's , and I never could quite describe to anyone
about users... a lot of SysOps called them lamers ( as well as BBs
users ).. or new-bee's or something equally de-grading.
Being a SysOp is like a baby-sitting job..... only with an important
sounding title.... but even my "veteran" users would freak out when I
changed the menu layouts and stuff......
maybe it was my "job ????" to keep them "terminally bewildered "
The really "funny ????" part is that Gate's and Job's have the stage ,
and they will make sure that everyone will be "bewildered" with every
release of new software..... because those poor souls... who are the
market.... don't know ANYthing but to point and click
