• CBM Tape Drive belts, etc.

I just got a Pet 2001-8 with both an internal and external tape drive. I've managed to get the external to behave (mostly) but the internal drive is
shot. The motor appears dead and the drive belt was brittle and broken.

Is there a good source for replacement parts or is there another, more
readily available drive that I can scavange parts from? I'd love to get the internal tape working again without parting out another Pet.

    Thanks!

William Levak identified the internal PET datasette as a Precor C-1800 R
from Panorama Radio & Electronic in Taiwan. For details, see <URL:http://www.softwolves.pp.se/misc/arkiv/cbm-hackers/5/5671.html>.
