    I'll get my Mac Book pro by Easter - does the Cisco VPN client work on
    the Mac Book Pro, and if so, starting with which version?

    The latest version of the Cisco VPN client (4.9, I think), works on Intel. We've got somebody here who's been using it on his Mac Book for about a
    month.

    The Cisco VPN3000 client, v4.9, works on my intel 20" iMac, and on a PPC
    Mini, to boot. (Mac OS 10.4.6 currently.)

    Ought to work on your new MacBook Pro.
