If the head's not thrashing back & forth between catalog and
fragments, will the disk last longer? I'd always believed a quiet
disk was a happy disk, but...
While the topic of your post on its own is certainly appropriate for
this forum, I'm not certain that this is the best forum in which to
reply to a TidBits article. The forum at tidbits.com might be more
effective
