• Re: Booting OS 9 on a dual 1.42 G4, can it be done?

I have heard via word-of-mouth that there is a hack out there that will
allow it (the firewire 800 port doesn't work, bluetooth doesn't work,
etc. -- that's all fine and dandy), I've searched around on the web and
can't find anything about it though.

There is a hack to allow the new flat-panel iMacs to boot OS 9. The "hack" is actually a custom MacOS ROM file, creatd by Apple for the use of certain system technicians for troubleshooting purposes. Distributing that file is not legal.

I have not heard of any similar capability or MacOS ROM file for dual G4 systems...sorry!
