• G4 Blue restartproblem after shutdown

    Hi all,
I have some problems here to shutdown a G4.
Shutdown closes all open programs, turn off video and then, when you expect power is going down the G4 makes a restart.

I have this problem with a Sony GDM-F520 connected. The F520 has an internal USB-HUB in the monitors pedestal.
When I disconnect the USB A-B cable (or when I quickly power off the monitor after selecting shutdown) the shutdown process is normal.

On another G4 I have this problem when a (powered) Visioneer Strobe Pro
scanner is connected on the USB-port.

Anybody here with a real solution ?
    Thanks.

The trick that Apple uses for the remote power button isn't robust. You
can block the sensing by placing devices behind a hub.
