• macOS BIg Sur v11.1's TM likes to do huge back ups to the new USB3 Seagate 5 TB HDD?

    From ant@ant@zimage.comANT (Ant) to comp.sys.mac.hardware.storage,comp.sys.mac.systems,comp.sys.mac.system on Friday, January 08, 2021 19:32:58

    Hello.

    I started a brand new Time Machine (1 partition is using encrypted APFS for TM;
other 2 are for exFAT for now) back up late last night. I started its first one
that took a long time (almost 400 GB of datas out of 2 TB). After it was done, I unmounted and then disconnected.

I reconnected about 30 minutes ago to do another manual back up, and noticed it
was doing a long back up! What the heck? I thought it is supposed to do incremental back ups like the old macOS (e.g., Mojave v10.14.6 and earlier)'s TMs. Did Big Sur's TM change something?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering. :)

    F. Russell is a fool; folks have plonked his auto-posts. What he really needs is one that keeps switching names, then they'd have a possibility at being almost as annoying as he is.

    F. Russell doesn't have any clue what he is blubbering about. All joking aside, what lie? Um -- in F. Russell's 'claim', that a site has been published is "verification" that Char Jackson wrote it now? Char Jackson's computer
has more hard drives than F. Russell's. Char Jackson wins. F. Russell loses. So take that, F. Russell.

It is the same pattern that happens in every group F. Russell defiles.

Sadly this is what comes about when really poor self esteem takes over
    Tattoo Vampire's every moment.

You _do_ realize that the massive floods ending up in multiple groups
    started out in COLA, right?

It will never matter because the FROM line on a post is irrelevant, we
know it is from the stalker anyway. If the content is a bunch of randomized Tattoo Vampire-like crap. Which means... Oh goodness, that is just tons
    of rot.

Everyone is Tattoo Vampire -- the oldest gag in the book.

Anyone familiar with Peeler's posts knows it's not written in the manner Shadow is suggesting, and some of them are of course manually written.

I am not fuming, just the opposite I'm laughing at him because Peeler's trolling is so clear. He actively did not speak of all the specifications
that he would later mock... and we all know why, Peeler could not hide it
if he tried. At least he has his own socks in his corner ;)

Peeler's essentially fooling Shadow to keep feeding him by trying to 'talk tech', specifically, his clueless efforts and Shadow's efforts to help him become a better programmer. He needs recognition, and as long as you are willing to continue directly providing it, he'll remain. Rambling cretin.
Not only did Shadow's request fail to refer to the "desktop", it has diddly- squat to do with Linux. Peeler should go lock the medicine chest. Did Peeler think that was clever?

Helping Wolffan and helping Shadow isn't the same thing. Nobody should knowingly help Wolffan do anything - except for driving into a brick wall, poking your eyes out, or successfully decapitating himself. HA! How did Wolffan get _so_ egotistical he thinks everything is about himself??

The Mac has better media tools. Which just pisses Wolffan off.

You never take responsibility for your own actions. Words that are easily
seen to be trolling. Wolffan claims to be the database teacher, let's
see him put up a version without the automated procedures.

Sadly this is what comes about when really poor self esteem takes over Tattoo Vampire's every moment.

You _do_ realize that the massive floods ending up in multiple groups started out in COLA, right?

It will never matter because the FROM line on a post is irrelevant, we know it is from the stalker anyway. If the content is a bunch of randomized
Tattoo Vampire-like crap. Which means... Oh goodness, that is just tons
    of rot.

Everyone is Tattoo Vampire -- the oldest gag in the book.

owl's computer has more memory than Gregory Hall's. owl wins. Gregory
Hall loses. Which gives owl better productivity, efficiency, and error- reduction. With no support at all, as is expected for Gregory Hall. Asking Gregory Hall to atone, which I have done, is not the same as referencing
his forging. My bottom line was that people arrive here *to* assail kookery. It isn't as if we all do not know what this place is, owl especially.

GNU is based on Linux. No debate. At one point, Gregory Hall said a legitimate denizen was "obsessing" over him, which was defined as replying to his posts.

At one point, he said an online denizen was "obsessing" over him, which
was nothing more than responding to any name he uses. I won't ask Shadow
how any part of Gregory Hall's body tastes no matter how many times Shadow kisses it. Nothing's changed since the last time you brought this up, with
the oddity Shadow is claiming a false checkmark hit from a piece of software not invented by or sponsored by the McAfee author 'raped' your newsgroup.

There is no question at least some of the posts are hand generated because some of them tap into what Gregory Hall said in very specific ways that underscore they are a response. IOW, while some could be automated others
    are definitely not.

    I'm well aware the posts I link to from COLA is absolute beginner level;
    that said, it works.

Shadow can create a virtual machine. Of course that is not possible on anything but Linux! It is a simple fact when -hh automatically uses the
word 'attack' the way Fox does, to the point where the word gets am ironic innuendo.

The one thing -hh learned sufficiently is to work to shame Shadow into submission and if that doesn't work, shout him down or dishonesty change
