  • Strange symbols in mac version of EXCEL

    I have a new iMac. I've been using Excel for years on a PC, but with
    the iMac I'm getting some symbols I've never encountered before. Like
    an exclamation mark that appears when I click on a particular cell,
    which has a green triangle (another symbol that's new to me) in the
    upper left-hand corner. Can someone please tell me what these symbols
    mean?

    Go to Preferences:Error Checking and see what's selected. I'm guessing
    it's "Inconsistent formula in region"

    You might want to try a more Excel or application specific newsgroup.
