• Looking for an application for flight planning on the Mac

I'm specifically trying to find a local (rather than web-based)
interface to the DUATS aviation weather system for flight
planning. If anyone has any information on this I would
    appreciate it.

I'm aware of that, but I am looking for something like Cirrus
(Windows) app for someone that wants to switch to the Mac, but
    is an active pilot.

Versiontracker lists Mac Flight Planner 1.25 so you might give it a try.

I looked at that earlier, but it is apparently written for those
using the X-Plane flight simulator, and is meant for that, not
real-world flight planning, and does not appear to have a link
    to DUATS, which is important.

I appreciate the help though anyway. It appears I may have
found an area that I can't solve for him switching to the Mac.
I have found dozens of programs for Windows, but nothing for the
    Mac so far.

Actually, I misread the website for it originally, it's actually
NOT for video game playing, but after downloading it, it is very
primitive compared to something like Cirrus and does not support
    DUATS anyway.

Not what you're looking for, but have you seen this?

No I haven't, but it looks interesting. I've never seen much
need for an electronic logbook, they're not particularly if ramp
checked and you don't have your computer with you. :-)

I'll pass it on though, he may feel differently.
