    Hello.

Is there a way not to tell macOS' Music app not to autoadd opened *.m4a
files into the audio library? At least, ask me?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

No. You can turn off copying opened files to ~/Music folder, but metadata will still be stored in the library.

    At least, ask me?

You could use a different player app and in Finder set all .m4a files
to be opened in that when double-clicked, auto-opened after downloading
by your webbrowser, etc. instead of the Music app.

    Thanks. This will work. :)

Set them not to open with the Music app?
