    All I can say is - "Use MT-NewsWatcher". Newswatcher-X is a dinosaur.

MT-Newswatcher rocks! But sadly it's not available for OS X.

Yes it is. I've been using MT-Newswatcher 3.3b1 for months, in X,
    without any problems whatsoever.

Not true. I've been using MT Newswatcher for OS X for almost a year now.

Boy I obviously missed when that came out.

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? I should hope not. There is
simply no reason for that type of behavior. You must be 10 years old.

Yes it is; I've been using it for ages. You have a choice of 3.2 or
3.3b1. The 3.3 beta is stable enough that it's the only news reader I
    use.

    Excuse me?

    http://www.smfr.org/mtnw/
"MT-NW 3.3b1 now available for Mac OS 10.2!"

I use Thoth, which is less user-friendly than any of the NW clients, but I've never had it crash on me.

I have tried giving thoth a chance, but found it utterly useless.
