"Running Boot Camp"- The Real Question is Apple fazing itself out - or
What is Apple?
Mac hardware is no longer an alternative development track from Intel.
Or is it?
Aside from the egomaniacal and annoying "i" product identification
project (iPod, iMac, iThink therefore iAM) - and the stock surge (deservedly) due to Ipod schtick...
...what is Apple? I can't help but think moving to Intel and Bootcamp is "Breaking it to us Gently - and "sooner rather than later" when iMUST COMPLY.

Mac Software is really not "Apple" (as Copland would have been), but
Unix. Or is it?

The word is "phase" not "faze." Faze is used in "that doesn't faze me"
when you're saying something is not a bother or shock to you. Of
course, most of the time when I see someone using that saying, they
write it "that doesn't phase me."
Sorry for being a grammar nazi. Someone has to, because the level of semi-literacy in the USA is growing quickly. Purty sune nun of uz will
know how 2 spel.
Thanks for the great entertainment. When the Silliest Posts of the Year
-- maybe the Decade -- awards are handed out, I have a feeling you'll
be a happy recipient.

I have seen my favorite word processor,
WordPerfect for the Mac, (which believe me still does the things a
writer needs, without the bloat,... and no Apple Product currently
matchs it), Die - Why?
The Apple corporation has put out more winning hardware and software
than losers, (I bought the Apple IIgs just before they canned the Apple
II line and the Mac Portable...no one remembers that but me.).
I have
been a Mac advocate since joining the Orange Apple Users group in about 1986.
But I am not made of cash. I have seen my favorite word processor, WordPerfect for the Mac, (which believe me still does the things a
writer needs, without the bloat,... and no Apple Product currently
matchs it), Die - Why? Because of the shrinking market base,
and look
at Adobe's treatment of Mac. I can't live without Adobe and I will
never be able to buy a whoe suite of programs again if I have to jump
ship.
Are you a gamer? I go to the Eugene Mac Store and am glad I don't play computer games.
Who still writes FOR the Mac instead of lagging versions for the Mac.
Apple should be more than a computer for the well-off folks. It used
to be the computer for everybody, teachers, musicians, and people who
could actually use the damn thing.

There's one resting in my garage.

I still use a Portable every working day as a terminal emulator and
for light data collection. And I have 2 IIsi boxes running NetBSD 24/7
as terminal servers. The silly things just don't know when it's time to
give up the ghost...
Cool!
You have gicen me a big smile. Remember it was $1,000 for 2 Megs of Ram?

This one always gets me. Maybe nobody knows how to spell it because you don't see it in print very often, and it's a relatively older phrase.

Heh. I see it in print all the time. Useful word if you want to talk
about data or radio communications.
