    Hi All,

I've been setting up a new Quad core G5 and ran into some trouble.
Currently, I can see the two ethernet ports with ifconfig, but they are
not showing up in the System Preferences -> Network -> Network Status.
I tried booting into safe mode, but still all I see is the AirPort.
This happened right about when I installed Virtual PC, could that be
doing it? I got one suggestion to upgrade virtualPC to 7.0.2, but
after a reboot, still no ethernet ports. I tried looking in the system
log and the system profiler and things look ok. Any suggestions on
what this might be or how to figure out what is going on?

BTW, This is machine is all up-to-date with 10.4.6 and other updates.

    Many thanks!

I tried uninstalling Virtual PC... no luck and the unistaller crashes.
Then I tried a complete reinstall of the OS, still no luck. The assist
me button says that it can't help me that my ethernet is not connected
    to any network. Any ideas?

    Thanks!
