I'm totally baffled, and would MUCH appreciate some advice on this one!
Setup: Macmini as server, with five big HDs, a couple of laser printers and connection to AirPort Extreme. PowerBook and iBook connect to disks and printers through WiFi. (Macmini has 10.4.6 and 1 gig).
Problem: the HDs just don't show up on the laptops - at least, they
/usually/ don't! However, even if the disks are not visible in the Network window, they COULD still be mounted via the 'Recent Items' menu. The
problem was therefore livable... but I've now installed a new HD, and just can't mount it from a remote Mac. It doesn't show up, and of course isn't
in the 'Recent Items' menu.
Suggestions on how I can mount the drive - just once would be enough! -
would be (very) gratefully received.
