• Remote Desktop problem from iMac->PC

    Hi

I've installed Microsoft's Remote Desktop client on my iMac so that I
can use my PC upstairs from my iMac without the effort of going up
there (and also so my housemate can use the PC at the same time).

I'm running a wireless network, which is admittedly sometimes flaky,
and the PC is running Windows XP Professional SP2.

It works fine most of the time, but it sometimes drops the connection
and refuses to reconnect. When I go upstairs and investigate on the PC,
the option to allow remote connections is still checked, and the
network connection is fine. The only thing that fixes it, strangely, is
running the Network Setup Wizard to allow file and print sharing again,
even though it's already enabled. Then everything's ok.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? It's rather annoying, since
it happens two or three times a day and rather circumvents the benefits
    of remote desktop!

    Thanks in advance, Mark
