I try to install os X in a old imac 333mhz with slow slot cdrom, for it.
I boot with cd of osX and it begin to install, display the first screen of intallation but it don't pass of it. (the cdrom spin fast)
Notes:
I have upgrade the rom of imac
The ram is 64mb
Hd is 6GB
The actually so is os 9.2.x
The cd read other recorded cds
I have various cds downloaded of edonkey and all make the same
Other question:
the cdrom of imac are normal IDE?
i'm thinking in put a pc ide cdrom and try,
why the ide cable of imac cross some wires?
is it for slave? is not necesary a slave jumper?

There's your problem. You wouldn't want to install OS X even if you could--not with such a pitifully small sliver of RAM.
