  • azden pc4000 Tone Decoder

    I have just updraged from the PC300 to the PCS4000. I was wondering
    about the tone decoder unit. In the pcs3000 it was a huge black box I
    never opened. In the pC4000 it appears to use a diode network and pushes
    the result though an opamp then a trippled buffered output. Does anyone
    know if I could switch out the tone decoders?

    Also the pc3000 has a crystal filter for 455Khz. Is it worth/possible to replace the filter in pcs4000.

    Also about discriminator output. I think I found it with my scope. Does
    adding a 2 way splitter make sense?
