Does anyone know of any good GUI automation tools, which would allow you to interact with GUI software (clicking menus, buttons, typing text, etc.)? I know of AutoIt, Selenium (which I think is only for web browsers), and a couple other scripting solutions. Ideally I think what would be most useful for me would be a kind of macro recorder to record actions in a piece of software and play it back later with the same software. It looks like Microsoft has a macro recorder which may be only for Microsoft Office.
