  • BBS List verification

    I keep getting a notice upon login that I need to verify my BBS List entry or it will be deleted in x days. I've gone to the BBS List and verified it at least 5 times and it doesn't seem to be helping. Is there another step I need to take?

    Gone to the BBS List on which BBS?

    Is it possible you have more than one entry in the BBS List on whatever BBS it is you're logging onto?

    My own, Capitol Shrill BBS. I added it on my own bard and verified it on mine (and I think on another, to be safe.)

    I've noticed something similar with mine too. Sometimes I get a notification on my BBS that my BBS entry needs to be verified, although
    once I do verify it, it seems to be fine. But my confusion is that I thought the Synchronet BBS list was synchronized with the 'data' sub-board on DOVE-Net - So if someone verifies a BBS list on another BBS, wouldn't that verification status be synchronzed to other boards running the Synchronet BBS list door?

    No. Verifying a BBS entry that was imported from the msgbase does not cause that entry to be exported from the BBS. It should be verified on the original BBS that "owns" the entry.

    There have been times when I'd verify my BBS on
    vertrauen, and soon afterward my own BBS would tell me my BBS list entry would need to be verified on my BBS.
