    Hello everyone,

anybody here who uses the cc64 cross-compiler? I use it to write C code that eventually gets compiled to 6502 assembler code. This way I can do small C programs for my Commodore 64. If there's anybody here using the same setup for coding 8 bit systems (no matter if it's Apple II, C64, SNES etc.) I'd really like to get in touch with them.

I've used it before, think I may still have it on the hard drive.
I've used it with some Commodore emulators... Been a while since
I have, but was pretty cool... Might be an interesting idea to
get an updated emulator and write some new software....
Gotta admit, haven't made anything useful with it....

    Hi again,

I'm currently working on a small adventure maker, still work in progress. MAybe you'd like to have a closer look at it? It's called "microQuestMaker64", inspired by nethack, omega and the likes. You can find it either in the filebase of our BBS (Wintermute BBS), or through this URL: http://retro.ufud.org ...

P.S.: once again, nice signature: Mickey Mouse PC w/ Goofy OS ... hehe ... ;)

Yup, when I read the message, I got the latest Vice and CC65, the latest
CC65 rocks! When I used it before, there was so many things missing from
standard C it was ridicalous.... I also picked up a cross assembler for
the commodore that's pretty cool... They had a demo of making a basic
loader for your assembly.... I took it a step further and wrote two
separate assembly language routines and had 2 lines in basic that said:

    10 sys 4096
    20 sys 4100

Just for the heck of it... When I have the time, I'll look up all the
basic opcodes or get a chart of them and then I can do some really neat
stuff... like write 3-4 lines of basic, then assembly, then 3-4 lines of
    basic...

... When your computer has a virus, Don't use chicken soup!

I'm checking it out now, quite imressive!

I also give you credit for having a good idea.... I got the ability to write software in C and some in assembly, granted, C is not my preferred language..... Though I had a few thoughts of making some utilities to view
eg. echo list, reports from my bbs, etc.... It'd be kind of cool...

... Got my tie caught in the fax... Suddenly I was in L.A.

Thank you very much. At the moment, I am thinking about a simple language or something that makes it easy to put some kind of logic into your game. But I just don't know how to do this and how to keep such a "logic engine" within the C64's memory. There must be a way though, because there are many adventure game toolkits for the C64 that implement such a feature.
