the virus is here, a mask might prolong the spreading but it's a waste of time.
Protect the elderly and the frail and just let the virus do it's thing.
It will burn itself out.

Both someone that has it, and the person that doesn't. It mostly matters that the person who has it wears a properly fitting mask, but distancing seems far less important than that.
