Speaking of baseball...

I was watching the LA Angles vs. the Houston Astros on Apple TV+ (Friday night baseball) a couple of weeks ago, July 1st I think it was, and there was a segment where one of the (horrible) Apple TV+ commentators/sideline reporters (Heidi Watney) was interviewing Jose Altuve (2nd baseman) of the Astros. It was like a pregame interview and Jose (who is *maybe* 5'6" tall) was talking about his kids and being a dad and I really wasn't paying that much attention but then Heidi said something about some other great defensive player and then made the comment "you short superstars need to stick together". I wasn't sure I heard this right, but the look that Jose gave her confirmed that he heard the same thing I did and was not amused. But then she immediately changed the subject and kept on asking questions with a smile.

I couldn't rewind because the broadcast was live at the time and I can't find this interview anywhere online (YouTube, Apple TV+, etc.) - did anyone else happen to watch this interview or can you help me find a copy online? I just think it was one of those fantatic moments of television that might be lost to history, but I hope not. It was hilarious (to me). Altuve's a great player, but also an admitted cheat. I don't his vertical challenge is something to be made fun or anything, I just think that Heidi slipped up and I'd love to relive that moment some more.

I don't know if anyone actually thinks Altuve's unusually short, but it's become a popular thing to tease him about.

He seems to take it disproportionately hard, and people keep doing it. I don't think anyone does it because they
dislike short people -- it's just a way to wind up someone who was very proud of cheating without consequence.
