run "fixsmb \sbbs\data\subs\dove-syncdata" and that should fix it. If it keeps happening, then I'd be concerned about filesystem or disk integrity. But it's easily fixable using fixsmb.

No sure about this one.

Somehow you got a 0-length MESSAGES.DAT file. If it's from a hub QWK packet, probably just some transient error on the hub (VERT?).

Is there a better way of handling it rather than generating an error? Let me know if you want me to open an issue for you to look into it.

It's possible. I've been seeing quite a few of these recently but nothing around that particular time.

I noticed that too from a couple of QWK packets late in the morning, I just figured there was a system burp on VERT cuz after those few network runs the issue was gone.
