    Not long ago, someone was asking for recommendations of hard scifi books.

    Interesting list. The story about Von Neumann machines (replicating androids) led me to find another series like it: the Bobiverse series by Dennis E. Taylor. The author is "a retired computer programmer, snowboarder, mountain-biker, runner, and now author."

    Places like Goodreads, and the occassional forum and even Reddit can have people making good recommendations.

    Abovethetreeline may sometimes have "similar too" suggestions for me when I hunting for recommendations.
