My BBS, Psion Information eXchange (-=P=I=X=-) has been running continuously
24/7 since May 30 1989. With that it seems like it's the oldest in Sweden -- at least according to Swedish Wikipedia.

That may be. But I know of a much older one. Although not in Sweden.

Now I wonder if anybody knows of a BBS that's older than that?

In fact, I know of two of them.

One in Australia, the sysop having been a college professor
at a university. When he retired, he left his BBS unattended
so the students could continue running it themselves.

The other one in Dulac, Louisiana. Best known as being the armpit
of the world. AFAIK, the BBS remains up and running. Even though the
land it is supposed to be on might not be there any more since the
water is rising and the land is sinking.
