The visitors bureau has an office there now. I pity the poor
tourist trying to find the place.
Sounds like a contradiction in terms.
There is a steam engine and Pullman car there but slowly turning to rust.
Sadly, that's the same thing in so many areas. COVID-19 basicaly shut
down the Arkansas Railroad Museum, and all the stuff there now is just wasting away.
Most visitors bureau's are on the outskirts of town on a main road.
Ours you have to make your way downtown then down a side street and maybe find a place to park.
I think most people would just give up on the place and either not/or quit looking for it.
They were cosmetically restored (i.e. some fresh paint was slapped on them) over 50 years ago and nothing done since.
The folks for the history and preservation of buildings, steam
locomotives, etc., are largely ignored by "progress".
