    printers scattered around a campus of buildings. I had my new techs
    do a scavenger hunt, and one of the questions was to get a
    configuration page from the oldest printer on campus.

    They found a Laserjet 4M with 500K+ pages on it. I didn't even know
    it was still running!

    Sounds like fun. I like the sound of scavenger hunts that
    require a bit of research and resourcefulness.

    The configuration page was a good way to confirm success. But,
    could imagine that some other students could have sabotaged
    the competition by removing the paper or something.

    Sounds like fun. I like the sound of scavenger hunts that

    There was a movie several years ago called "Scavenger Hunt". The
    "games enthusiast" named Milton Parker (a combination of Milton
    Bradley and Parker Brothers), had rigged a scavenger hunt...and the
    winning team would get the fortune.

    They were given clues, and could acquire the items in any way,
    except by purchase. One clue was "to mention it is not very dapper.
    It was invented by a man named Crapper. John Crapper to be exact".
    The item was a toilet. :P

    They had an all star cast, and it was bizarre to say the least. <G>
