I need to ask, per Policy v4. Who is my RC, and who is my ZC?
I will be filing an official complaint soon. I've been trying my best
to avoid this, but my patience has run out, and the time has arrived.
Sorry, and thanks for answering.
Nick Andre is the ZC of zone 1, North America.
Jay Harris is the RC of region 12, Eastern Canada.
Fido's golden rule.. a snippet from policy..
9 Resolution of Disputes
9.1 General
The FidoNet judicial philosophy can be summed up in two rules:
1) Thou shalt not excessively annoy others.
2) Thou shalt not be too easily annoyed.
I'm not excessively annoyed. I've read Policy v4 front and back. Why
do you think I asked?
Someone has chosen to annoy me everywhere they can find me, even
outside the BBS community. I'm exactly as annoyed as I should be. And
this MUST be stopped!
I know why you asked, you seem to be excessively annoyed.
I don't see a policy complaint here. People may communicate with you nicely and honestly or not. There is no policy in effect and none that I can think of that we can implement that would make it so.

If the Fido Sysop is directly slamming your system unsolicited, sending material which could be construed as illegal or hate-speech under
current law, doing trickery like packet-ramming, mail bombs,
deliberately altering kludges, etc... basically interfering with the operation of your system in a way you can prove it, it could be
considered a valid complaint.
Trust me, sir. If you were me, you would be as annoyed
as I am. I am intentionally not giving details here,
People annoy you if you let them. After a while, they give up.
The best was a certain ZC of a certain Net where one was free to
Xpress themselves. Oh was he ever friendly, chatty, amusing at first. Until I grew tired of all the rampant leftism and Rob Swindell
worship.
That was 15 years ago... ahh memories, good times.
Oddly, some people accuse me of allowing Micronet to be "ultra conservative I guess they don't know about all of the liberals in my network and even th occasional avowed Communist or two...yet we all seem to get along just fine Sure, we like to get into political debates occasionally but those all sett down in a friendly way.
I don't recall any "iron fist" moments in Micronet, maybe I'm not
familiar with the joke on that... Your net always seems to take care
of itself and I've never seen anyone outright kicked out in the 20+
years I've been in it.
That person is alive and well on Facebook in my "BBSing 2.0" group. None o the aforementioned "friends" are spoken about and that person is always on their best behavior. I know ALL of what you speak of as I was a member of that same net at the same time you were.
Now for the Fidonet trolls: there always be some and from expected places. But these trolls have a very narrow view of the world and if you stay out o their jaundiced gaze, you're fine.
It is a source of pride for me to say that in Micronet everyone gets along if they don't they take it elsewhere. Considering Micronet has nodes on ev continent except Antartica, I don't accept the excuse that is often given i Fidonet that boorish behavior is due to "cultural differences". If that wa the case, we'd have the same issues in Micronet as Fidonet does but what it boils down to is some people are assholes--no explanation needed.

He might've cooled his jets in that 15 years, who knows. I just
remember when it came to "free speech" he cut a huge fart and pretended
it wasn't him.
It was rumoured awhile ago, that he was/is "Cheeseburger" on Youtube,
made a series of bizarre/strange videos aimed at Scinet, Netsurge/Frank Linhares.
I'm honoured that a few have started their own echo... just for me!

So here I am, nearly a quarter-century later, still enjoying myself. Livin well is indeed the best revenge.
Like I once told the usual suspects: it's an honor to have lived rent-free in their empty heads for decades now. LOL
Darkrealms turns 29 next month... from its humble Tandy 1000
beginnings to a near decade on OS/2 to sunset-years on Windows.
I used that line once or twice on a silly troll in a popular Othernet. This was one who could dish it out but never take it in return... went crying to the ZC who unfortunately folded and announced "No more
politics" the next day.
Another troll vanished when I politely offered him a nodelisting

Time flies, doesn't it?

Mannnn.... I held out to the "very end" with OS/2. I'm kindof jealous
of guys that keep running it.

Me, too. I worked in an all-IBM shop with OS/2 1.3 and became a fan. I coul do more on a 386 back then than I ever thought imaginable.
