    his niche in history when it comes to fighting the good fight for peace and justice in the tradition of the lone ranger.his contributions to the cause
    span from the days of the berkeley-based vietnam day committee, the yippies (where the feds dubbed him as an "unindicted co-conspirator in the police
    riots surrounding the antiwar protests at the 1968 democratic convention in chicago), his candidacy for sheriff of alameda county, etc.
