• How to make you own Character ROM?

I have a breadbox C64, and I just wanted to know what EPROM to use to burn your own C64 characters.

    Thanks.
    Marcel

It's an old small ROM of the 2364 type IIRC.
Today you could buy "any" 8 Bit Eprom as the "bigger" they are the cheaper they become.
(and who cares if you use only 4, or 8KB of that 27C256/512er) but you would have to make
yourself a socket that fits to the different pin-outs. Nothing for the inexperienced
    but not that tricky either.

I would not go for a 27C64 IIRC they have become quite expensive in comparance to
27C256/512. In those big ones you could even put diffrerent sets and switch them.

The PROM is a 2332. You'll have to wire up an adaptor for whatever
EPROM you use - any that's 4 kB or larger will do.
