    Hi all

I am not sure what has happened, but I recently discovered that the
Control Strip that appeared at the bottom of my computer screen is now
gone. The only thing that I have done recently to my iBook is to add
an Apple Pro Keyboard and Mouse. Can anyone tell me what may have
caused this item to disappear from my computer?

Sometimes software will shut it off temporarily, and won't properly
reactivate it when it's done doing what it was doing. (Or if the
program crashes, it won't get a chance to.)

The short answer to your question is to go under the Apple menu to
Control Panels, open up Control Strip, and you'll get a panel that will
let you switch it back on.

Let us know if that does the trick!
