    Alternatively, there's a local store with a G4 Titanium Powerbook @667

    from looking at other benchmarks, that the G4 Powerbook @ 667 isn't
    that far a leap ahead of a G3 700 iBook, except under certian
    conditions.

    I think that one of those conditions would be running InDesign CS2.

    Why not just install InDesign on one of your G3 iBooks and see what
    happens?

    Well, that's the plan.

    No way I'd buy a new book prior to the release of the Intel-based iBook
    (which, I presume, will be simply the MacBook).
