For quite a while now, I've been having a very annoying problem with
Mail: it constantly loses the message selection. I prefer to read my
mail in the main window, rather than in one window per message, but
whenever Mail checks for new mail automatically, it deselects the
message I'm reading and blanks the message frame. Also, if I delete the
message I'm currently reading, no message is selected afterwards, thus
losing my place in the message list.
I have dim memories from about six months ago that Mail didn't always
behave like this--does anyone know what could be causing it?
